About Us
Welcome to my art shop.
My name is Coline, and I have been drawing mountains for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I spent hours sketching peaks, ridge lines, and imagined reliefs. These are landscapes that have always attracted me, without me really knowing why.
Over time, the mountain has become a language. An imperfect, raw, sometimes harsh territory, but deeply alive. Through Indian ink painting, I found a way to translate what these landscapes evoke in me: silence, strength, the balance between softness and harshness.
I am often asked why I work almost exclusively in black and white. The answer is simple: black and white allows me to get straight to the point. Without color, the eye is not distracted. It rests differently. It takes its time. You don't just glance at the image, you enter into it.
My work is part of a search for the essential. I erase all human presence to make way for relief, shadows, and voids. Each work is an attempt to freeze a timeless landscape, inspired by real memories, mountain walks, or internal panoramas.
Working with India ink is, for me, a way to stay close to a raw feeling, without filter or detour. A search for simplicity and truth, in an already very busy world.
